Frequently asked questions

Have questions about how this all works? We tried to answer some of the big ones here, but if you have more questions please use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and we'll be happy to answer them.

What does my monthly payment cover?

Your monthly payment covers all our in-office services, phone/video calls, emails, texts and case management. We do not have any other other bills, fees or other charges. You will be notified before we provide any service that will incur additional charges and be able to decline or seek the services elsewhere if it is cheaper for you (our goal is to get you the care you need at the lowest cost possible).

What else will Premonition Health bill me for?

In the future we are planning to offer vaccines in clinic, but vaccines can be expensive (sometimes as much as all your monthly payments combined) so we will bill your insurance directly for those costs (they should all be covered based on ACA rules). For those without insurance we will only charge the wholesale cost of the vaccine with no additional administration fees. Otherwise you will not get any other bills from Premonition Health.

What about labs, imaging or medications?

For medical services that require a 3rd party (labs, imaging, cardiac monitoring or medications) you will get bills directly from the 3rd party, not from Premonition Health. We will do our best to steer you to in-network services and do the needed pre-authorizations with insurance to ensure that your care outside our clinic is covered. If you don't have health insurance we will work to negotiate cash rates that reduce your cost as much as possible.

I am on Medicare, can I be a patient with Premonition Health?

Yes! However, since most Medicare patients will require more services we are working on a hybrid plan where your monthly fee is lower (around $50/month) and we bill Medicare for covered services like office visits. This will hopefully be coming in the next few months, so please let us know if you are interested.

My insurance won't cover hybrid/direct care services. Can I still be a patient with Premonition Health?

Yes! We provide you with an Advance Beneficiary Notice of Non-coverage (ABN) and patient contract prior to starting services so that you understand exactly what your monthly payment is covering and not covering. Your monthly membership fee will not count toward your insurance deductible and you can't use HSA/FSA funds to pay it due to current legislation. Your insurance should still cover all referral care, hospitalizations, labs, medications, radiology, vaccines, etc. We believe that access to high-quality care quickly will ultimately help you be happier, healthier and able to avoid excess costs like UC and ER visits so that your membership fee is also worth it financially.

How can I pay my monthly fee?

We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If none of those methods work for you please reach out to us directly and we can see if there is another method we can make work.

I don't live in/around Wichita. Can I still be part of Premonition Health?

We are able to provide virtual services anywhere in Kansas and Colorado, but unfortunately due to restrictions from licenses and our malpractice insurance, we are unable to provide any care to patients living outside those states (we can provide virtual care while traveling if needed).
